Doodle God Universe may feel familiar to players who have played the previous games, however Paul who is a JoyBits brand evangelist, prefers to use his first name to describe the game. Doodle God Universe comes with modern, redrawn elements icons as well as 3D scenes and more reactions. There are also changes to the game’s difficulty and pace.

Paul shared his thoughts Paul shared his thoughts with CNET via email. The game adapts to the logic and style of each player now.

Paul states that the Doodle God series is an A+B=C style game. Games like Triple Town, 2048 and Little Alchemy have similar mechanics that involve mixing elements that are already in play to create new ones. For instance, the game's official trailer shows how combining a bird and fire creates an Phoenix. Doodle God's unique content such as quests, puzzles mini-games and art stand it apart from other variations and copies, Paul says.

Apple's new hardware also provides a boost to the game in terms of 5G and A14 Bionic chips.

Paul stated that "the power of the modern Apple devices -- iPhones, iPads, Macs, AppleTV -- and many great technologies, like Metal -- all of this allowed us to implement all our most imaginative game design concepts and visual ideas," Paul added.

The emergence of a chaotic and creative World-building games such as Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Terraria and The Sims have supplied gamers with hours of entertainment over the years. Paul states that Doodle God Universe, just like all world-building games is about exploration and discovering the unexpected.

"World building games can be fascinating for a long time, and a lot of players would like to  read Doodle God over and over time like a good book," Paul said. "And in a scenario where a person is almost always at home, what could be better than rereading your favorite book, watching your favorite TV series or re-creating Doodle God Universe?"

Paul suggests that players who take on Doodle God Universe should be open to exploring new ideas. This makes the game more fun. Doodle God Universe rewards curiosity.

"Use your imagination, let creativity be your engine," Paul said. "And there is no special pattern when playing the game, you can try to utilize your logical thinking or mix elements in a chaotic way."

With the release of Doodle God Universe, Angry Birds Reloaded and Alto's Odyssey, Apple Arcade is close to 200 games with more still to come.
